But i am LIKING what i see very much! Some of those development shots (from about 4-5 months ago), really blew me away on how far you guys have gotten with this.

(shameless question plug) The reason i came over is, i have one question for you guys about you FE days... what program/settings did you use to create Hadean and Scion voice-overs? its driving people mad over on BZU right now, which you guys should definately visit more! Thanks Cheesy

Hows the development side of things coming along? I see Slaor is onboard now which can't be a bad thing!

Good question.  Black Manatee may have an idea.  Send him a PM, I'm sure he'll get back to you.

and Jamsh...

zZz zZz zZz is all I have to say about the everything in one expansion thing that you are making until it's done. Smiley Can't wait HURRY UP! and that goes with you to M.A.D team.

When do you think this game will be out? And will it cost money?

Also is there another beta out I think I got the second version or something?

I think we'll want to charge something for it.  What if it costs $15 to $20?  If we crank out a game with the depth and strategic gameplay rivaling BZ/BZ2, with multiplayer, but fresh and new, wouldn't it be worth it?  Making such a game consumes vast amounts of our time and energy.  What is your fair dollar value assessment of a game similar to BZ2, but different enough that it doesn't seem stale?  How much do YOU, a BZ fan think we deserve to charge for each license, for our hard work?  Consider that it may be yet another niche game, maybe garnering only 10,000 buyers.  The final release will likely represent 4 to 5 man-years of technical labor at least.  Considering that I'm used to $30 an hour for my skills, and I think Slaor is worth the same, that comes to an effort cost of about $312K for 5 man-years.  Therefore we should rightfully charge $31 if we expect and hope for 10000 purchases.

Anyway, I just wanted to paint a picture of how difficult our work is, though I don't think I could truly convey that.

I think I'll have the coding finished by the end of 2010, and I think Slaor is on track to have the art assets ready by then as well.

Tongue

I have an idea of how hard it is, I can't even get a BZ2 map to work properly as intended even after someone has told me what to do.

I'm just wondering cause I hate paying money, also is there a chance this could make it to a console?

Console might actually be possible with XNA... but I doubt they'd go to the trouble.

Anywho... care to drop us a screenshot of a new model... a summary of how things are going... something?
