I picked up a copy of ArmA II yesterday, I'm a big fan of Operation Flashpoint so was quite looking forward to this release, I have to say this game is utterly incredible, the sheer attention to detail is amazing.

I found this review that describes the game far better than I ever could, I think it sums up my thoughts on the game perfectly :

I don't think I've been this interested in a game since BZ2 , it's got everything, realistic combat, strategy, some of the multiplayer modes sound very cool indeed, once I finish the singleplayer I might do some online gaming for the first time in years - 50 players at once  each with a battalion under their command all fighting it out on 225 square Km map sounds too awesome to be true.

Looks awesome, judging by the trailer.  Post a followup after you've had some significant playtime.  I'm curious about bugginess and performance on modest systems, in the later missions as well.

Bohemia Interactive is a company to watch.  They have a Carrier Command remake in the works, which I am eagerly anticipating.

Performance seems pretty good on my system, find out for yourself they've just released the demo today, you can find download links here :

I think the download is about 2gb .

I'm still having a few small issues with mission triggers not activating sometimes in the main game but these issues can usually be fixed by replaying the mission - I've not found any game breaking issues yet.
