I know I am, but not as I used to as I'm helping here. Most of the developers here have dedicated their time to MAD and getting it done. We're not totally gone...in case, on a vacation is more like it. Cheesy

We'll be back.

More like fulfilling dreams. Smiley

I've always dreamed of working on a real game project and BSer has always dreamed of making a real game. Smiley

BZII will always have a home in my heart no matter what. Wink

Yeah when they finish 1.3. Every time I go to finish Epic there's a new patch which buggers something up (no gripes - this is a good thing but makes it hard to keep motivated when constantly playing catch up)...

not our problem,  ask him yourself, what GSH does is his own business .

Ditto.

No offense to everybody posting, but this is a site for MAD, not BZ2 (though we don't mind a casualy conversation once in awhile). If you guys have problems with BZ2, you all know the boards location. You probably won't get help here as we're not geared toward that.

MAD all the way!

An occasional BZ discussion is fine, given that I go to the BZ boards occasionally to pimp MAD.  The BZ community is a special case, given our history.  However, the discussions should still be on-topic in some way.  For example, it would be pointless to discuss favorite BZ2 strategies here.

This thread is ok in the context of who will be developing BZ2 content as well as MAD content.  However I agree we're not a communication channel to GSH.

Eventually we may have an Off-topic board, but not in the near future.

In response to the question, I've moved away from BZ/BZ2 overall, but I do go back once and awhile for a visit.  Also, I may be doing a bit more VO work as Hardin in some BZ2 mods.

BZ2 will always be close to my heart, I remember posting on the pandemic forums waiting for the game to be released nearly 10 years ago, I spent about 6 or 7 years modding the game and making maps for it.

I still like helping out with BZ2MD (mostly because it requires very little effort from me) and I still try to offer support for FS where possible. I may still do the occaisional thing here and there to help out with some mods like FS2 aslong as it's nothing too major, but my days of doing any serious modding for the game are pretty much over and have been for a while now really.

I think I've done everything I could ever want to do with BZ2 there are no challenges left anymore, nothing new to learn..... well maybe a few things but I feel I've done enough.

I could make 50 mods for Bz2 and it would not be enough...

I am currently considering which of 3 different mods I will start right after I finish FS2.

My options are currently:

- QF2: Fractured Destiny
- Fleshstorm 3: The Awakening
- Unnamed total conversion which will be primarily an FPS shooter based in an apocalyptic future on Earth.

I am planning to make all 3 before I retire in 2030.  Cheesy

That doesn't even include the MAD mod which I am quite enthusiastic about potentially making. There are tonnes of features of this game which I really like.
