Thanks.  Sorry its frustrating, but you're being a big help in reporting this.  It means my parents aren't the only ones who have an older install of DirectX 10 Smiley.  The latest Ogre engine version was recently released with dependencies on more recent DirectX mini-versions.  The Ogre developer didn't mean to introduce this dependency, but it sorta snuck in when he grabbed a more recent DirectX SDK.

Updating to the very latest DirectX 10 will fix the problem for you.  You can also take a quick route and grab the needed DLL at:
http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dll-files.shtml?d3dx9_33
and put it in the folder with MadGame.exe.

I may include that DLL with the next release to reduce the hassle, although its generally frowned upon to do that.

Thanks again for reporting it.

As stated at BZU, BS-er is using a later version of DirectX9 then you have, just update it and all will be fine.

And no, BS-er, do not include that file, it needs to be registered with the system (aka, properly installed by updating DirectX9 or higher) or it can cause memory issues.

Instead of just dieing with a nasty error like that, you should catch it and do what I have my programs do, call the person an idiot and tell them to update their DirectX to the latest version. Tongue

Nope, starting with 9 they get a new incremental update roughly 3 to 4 times a year, same with 10.
